Saturday’s planned workday was a bust due to an early-arriving winter storm, but what was left behind after the storm passed made for some great adventure.
Here are some photos from Sunday, showing off some of the beautiful scenery while hiking and biking the property:
If you haven’t experienced it before snow-biking is a blast!
Even after 3-4 inches of snow, the trails were mostly rideable, albeit slowly, and with a few slips and slides (but no crashes!) Although a “fat bike” would be ideal for these conditions, a mountain bike with knobby 2-inch tires works fine, and even this drop-bar touring bike with grippy tires worked well, for the most part.
By next winter, we hope to see more local people out exploring the winter wonderland by foot or by wheel. It’s so much fun!
