“Devils Cross” is a wide singletrack trail, designed for the Allen Community College’s Red Devils Cross-Country team. It is wider than a typical singletrack trail, but not as wide as our gravel trails, with a natural surface (dirt, leaves, grass). It is optimized for running, but works equally well for biking or hiking.

The route begins at the East Loop, near the “BMX Quarry”, and passes through a mature hardwood forest of oak, ash, cherry, elm, hackberry, and other species. This part of the property was once a farmstead, and there are still remnants an old farmhouse and fences along the trail. The trail connects to the South Loop singletrack, not far from “hobo camp”.

Surface: Natural
Length: About 0.5 miles
Difficulty: The majority of the trail is wide and easy, with a few small rocks, and one small crossing of an intermittent stream.
